Description

Stöcklein's work is a compound of letters of the Jesuit missionaries from all over the world and here particularly the ones stationed at the court of the Emperor Kamhi. This Emperor ordered the priests known by their names as Pater (Father) Regis, Hinderer and de Mailla to carry out a survey of his empire including his territories on the island of Formosa.
